Filling the regulatory gap in chronic disease prevention and the influence of building codes

A paper written by Helen Walls, Bebe Loff and yours truly considers the model of building regulations, vehicle emissions and tobacco control as a catalyst for initiating some control over the obesity epidemic. There is a lot of scope for engineers and other professionals in the built environment to collaborate with epidemiologists and public health reserchers. The full paper is referred to in my previous blog post. The Conversation in Australia has written a feature on this topic, and this is able to be accessed on the following website: http://theconversation.edu.au/filling-the-regulatory-gap-in-chronic-disease-prevention-6127
